Russia/India : The $2.3 billion aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya has been inducted into the Indian Navy .This has brought India in elite group of nation hence enhancing India’s maritime capabilities. India's Defence Minister AK Antony and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin along with senior government and defence  official of both the nation attended the 44,500-tonne warship commissioning into the Indian Navy at the Sevmash Shipyard,India. India test fires indigenously developed nuclear-capable Agni-I ballistic missile
Balasore/Odisha:  India successfully test fires  its indigenously developed nuclear-capable Agni-I ballistic  missile. The estimated strike range of missile is tested to be 700km .
The missile was launched from road mobile launcher system . It reached the target point in the Bay of Bengal. It was tracked by  radar and telemetry stations located along the coastline sources reported.
ITR director M V K V Prasad said "The test-fire of the ballistic missile was fully successful."
Agni-I ballistic  missile Weighing 12 tonnes, the 15-metre-long . can carry payloads up to 1000 kg . It has already been included into the Indian Army .

India's Mars mission: India successfully launch Mars Orbiter Mission ‘Mangalyaan’ Sriharikota : India has joined the big league with United States, Russia and France .  The successful launch of its most ambitious project the Mars Orbiter  Mission ‘Mangalyaan’ in Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota has brought India on global arena.

INS Vikrant - India's first indigenous aircraft carrier launchedIndia's first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant launced today at Kochi Shipyard. It is the biggest warship  built in the country.
